Cooloola and Fraser

Here are finally some pics of our first 4WD adventure with Mitsu and Mathis who was visiting us for 4 weeks. There's also a video, but unfortunately we haven't yet found the problem why it isn't uploading onto our blog...

Big thanks to Emily and Dave again who let us build and prepare our Mitsu in their parking lot.

The very last preparation and we are good to go.

Mitsu's first time driving on the beach with us :-)

All traffic rules also apply when driving on the beach.

Mathis expressing his joy beeing finally on holidays ;-).

What a comfy Swag :-)

Delicious brekky in the morning, that's how you start a nice day.

Taking the ferry to Fraser Island, where the real 4WD adventure started and where Jan's driving skills should later on be tested to their limits.

Some nice impression from our beach camping view.

The inland tracks on Fraser Island are very sandy and sometimes also very steep...

...but those tracks where not the only barriers we had to overcome.
Jan is checking out a muddy creek.

Lake McKenzie. Eventually a place to swim and refresh ourselfs.

Helping some other Fraser Island visitors who got bogged big time!

Aaaaand of course helping ourselves out by digging with hands and shovel...

...to reach the beach again, where driving is much easier compared to the deep and sandy inland tracks.

Dinner time

On the way for a nice breakfast spot.
